How to Protect Your Computer from Harmful Malevolent Program Viruses ?

Nowadays, every internet user is engaged in downloading, uploading or exchanging files, pictures, movies, etc. over the internet. People have become so busy in all this that they seldom care about the bugs and viruses that get into their computers while downloading stuff. In order to avoid any viruses or bugs, special care needs to be taken. Since, if the user will use the system carelessly, he/she will end up with files behaving abnormally, messages popping up on the screen, operating system getting corrupt or valuable data being lost.

Essentially, malevolent programs are such computer programs that are designed to have undesirable or catastrophic effects on our systems. A computer virus is the most malicious of the computer troubles. Generally, it gets into your computer when you try to run a program to which the virus is attached. These malevolent programs then spread into your PC like a biological virus and infects your files and data. They also have the capability to transport themselves from one PC to another and affect the computer’s performance badly.

Now in order to protect your computer from such malevolentprograms, one needs to take some serious measures, which include installation of a suitable antivirus program on your workstation. This installation should preferably be done soon after the purchase of the computer so as to avoid any damages. If you don’t have any antivirus software installed to your computer, you are placing your PC at severe risks. Therefore, you can also install the software on your computer anytime to prohibit further destruction.
How To Protect Your Computer From Malevolent Programs :

There are a lot of good quality antivirus software’s that are available for purchase or download over the internet like McAfee, Kaspersky, Norton, Bitdefender Antivirus, etc. To facilitate the proper execution of the antivirus software, the user should purchase a registered version of the program from an authorized dealer.
One can buy CD’s of these antivirus software’s from the market or could purchase them online as well. Many people tend to avoid buying these programs because of their lofty price tags but once installed, they can save the user from the harmful viruses that could affect the operations of the system.
Nonetheless, to ease the burden of the users, there are several discount schemes offered for the customers online. People could purchase these vouchers and get a discount on different antivirus software’s that are present in the market. There are various discount coupons like Bitdefender coupons, Kaspersky coupons, MacAfee Coupons and so on, which could be bought to gain some compensation over the price.
Avoid Malevolent Viruses With Proper Maintenance  :

The security of the computer is not an easy task. After acquiring desirable and appropriate antivirus software, the user also needs to keep a constant check on the PC. Always make sure that you perform an antivirus scan in normal mode as well as the safe mode. Safe mode is considered to be the best among the two modes because when you run your operating system in safe mode, your system identifies and eradicates the viruses more smoothly as compared to the normal mode. Therefore, users at all times should do an antivirus check in safe  mode.
Moreover, the users should try adopting the habit of downloading the frequent updates related to the antivirus software they have installed; as it will keep their software up-to-date, letting it discover latest threats.
Apart from the antivirus programs, the users should also install a firewall in their workstations as it allows them to have authorized communication while blocking unauthorized users’ access. Usually, the computers that come equipped with the Windows operating system have firewall software installed in them already. However, one can also download or buy firewall programs from the internet if needed.
As it is commonly said prevention is better than cure, the same goes for your computer as well. The users at all cost should avoid downloading files or documents from unreliable websites. Even if you are downloading files from a trusted site, run a quick virus check on them prior to the opening or installation so as to avoid any unexpected trouble.
Identifying the viruses that are present in your computer is of utmost significance. In order to keep your system safe from all such harmful and malevolent programs, the user should install the antivirus software and perform system scans regularly. All hard drives, files and folders should be scanned, and viruses should be removed immediately if found to hinder proper system functioning.
Author’s Info: Derek Zhuang is the owner of the website Daily Deals He lives in Silicon Valley in California State, US. His site is basically famous for its product reviews and coupons that it provides for various antivirus software’s like Bitdefender Coupons, Norton Coupons, Kaspersky Coupons.

How to Make Computer More Faster

Reducing heat

Some people use the computer for many hours, due to this computer becomes over heated. Over heat is not good for your computer as it runs slowly. To avoid this problem one should have free flow of air to their computers like some people removes the casing cover so that air will flow freely. Another way is to buy extra fan and connect to computer casing. It is very easy to connect extra fan, just you need to tight with provided screw and connect to extra power supply cable. The third method is to maintain very low room temperature by using AC or air coolers so that heat generated by the computer can be cooled and make the computer to run sufficiently.

Scanning of Virus and removing

Virus can enter into your computer in two ways. One way is from your external storage like pen drives, external hard disk, flash drive, and diskette. Secondly, it can enter from internet. Your computer should always have antivirus installed in it that will protect from all unwanted programs. If you buy brand new computer it should be pre-installed with antivirus program. You can also use free and trial version of antivirus program like AviraAvast, AVG or etc, which you can download from internet and install them in your computer. Installing antivirus program is not enough to protect your computer. You should also update the antivirus on daily bases so it can detect and remove virus present in the system as well as new virus. If you are unable to update your antivirus on daily bases, then better switch on automatic mode so that it can automatically update on daily bases when you connect internet to your computer.

Disk Defragmentation

When you copy, paste, create or delete a file from your computer then it will make your computer fragment. In simpler terms fragmentation means files are written in various locations in your hard disk. So that computer takes longer time to search those files to run and create empty space in between the files. To fulfill these gaps defragmentation of your disk drive is required.
To perform disk defragmentation, go to C: drive, go to ‘Properties’, ‘Tools’ tab then you can see‘Defragmentation’. Click on it then wait until finish. The more files on your hard disk the longer it take to finish.

Drive scan disk

Drive scan disk is similar to defrag, where operating system repairs bad sector and so on. It will work like medical check up to your computer.
To access, go to C: drive, go to propertiestools bar, and chick “ERROR CHECKING” tab and system will ask for restart in order to run full scan disk.

Controlling user Account

Windows computer operating system can create multiple users in one computer.  Your computer may share with your family members or you can share via Local Area Networks (LAN) or WI-FI.  You can manage these by user accounts, go to ‘control panel’‘User Accounts’. You will be safe and stable once you limit user activities on your computer account by specifying them as guest or anadministrator or Limited user.  These account settings can be done by owner of the computer which he as complete access to his computer.

Stop Error 0x0000007E After SP3 is installed , Gives BSOD Stop Error for a second and reboot again.Problem after installation of Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Computer Restarts after start up, it prompts for a reboot. This process will continue unless the computer is started in Safe Mode. In Safe mode the computer boots correctly and everything seems fine.

This problem only appears on some systems after upgrading to SP3. This particular problem on systems that have been prepared with SysPrep.

The sysprep image was created on an Intel based computer, and then the sysprep image is deployed on a Non-Intel system such as an AMD processor.

In these cases, the registry entry for Intelppm is incorrectly set and causes the computer to go into a continuous reboot after the service pack has installed.

How Can I Solve This Problem?

Note: Follow these steps to resolve this issue with the computer not booting correctly after SP3 is installed.

1) Start your computer in Safe Mode.

2) Click on Start, Run, and type REGEDIT and press Enter. This will open the Registry Editor.

3) Click the pluses(+) next to the following registry keys to navigate to the correct spot.

4) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesI ntelppm4) In the right hand column find the entry titled START and double-click on it

5) Change the number to 4 and click Ok

6) Close the Registry Editor

7) Shut down your computer and restart

This time the computer should restart normally and finish the installation of SP3.

How To Open Office 2007 Documents In Older Versions Of Office

With Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft introduced a new set of file formats: .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx, all not compatible with previous Microsoft Office versions. So if somebody sends you a Word 2007 document and you use Word XP, an error message awaits you. Luckily, the fix is easy: Use the Office plugin named Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats.
MOCPWEP2007FF enables you to open/edit/save Office 2007 documents in Office 2000, 2003, or XP without any work on your part. Just make sure that your office has the latest Service Pack installed - either SP3 for Office 2000 and XP, or SP1 for Office 2003.
If you don’t want to go all that difficulty and you just need to convert just a single .docx file, point your browser to docx-converter.com. Upload your file, select your preferred format (.doc is just one choice), and enter your email address. In a moment, you should get a note containing a link to download the converted file. It’s a free service.
